Punk/hardcore/metal/social media/the world. Everyone has a desire for the world to be black and white in belief system. Because it truly is confusing to realize that most of life has shades of grey. It is one of the many, many reasons I love hardcore and metal and punk. Because it is fun to think that it is Us Vs Them. Good Vs Evil. Or in Manowar’s case that someone is legit out there trying to get them to stop playing metal. And it is super fun to finger point and sing along to that. You know. When you can actually be in groups ever again. Because it is more fun than the reality that is slapped in our face every day.
That I can walk around both hating the entire human race and still think “man I wish I could hang out with some people” is a real confusing thought. Life is confusing. Pandemics don’t help.
